Heavy Seas

Heavy Seas

We’re taking a short break from the “Where I So Stuff” series (but be assured I’m working on the next installment) to share a photo from today. We were in 14- to 16-foot seas this afternoon, so of course I stood as close to the bow of the cutter as possible. I took this photo about 5 hours ago, and I’m still drying off. It was a real rush.

  1. Awesome picture, Andrew! But WAY, WAY too close!!! Love, MommyGirl

  2. Andrew: Wonderful, scary picture – and certainly close enough.

  3. Found your site through blog-hopping!

You have some excellent pictures on here, especially this one.

My one question refers to your previous post: How on earth do you manage to get any sleep in such a small space? I couldn’t do it. Eh, that’s because I’m a space-hog, I guess.

  4. Thanks for the comments, guys. It was like a roller-coaster ride, but real. Maybe I should call it a roller-Coastie ride?

Thister: Welcome to the blog! Come back as often as you like! We’d love to hear your comments and have you as part of the Shinn community. About your question: I tend to hog space, too, but humans are surprisingly adaptable.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

  5. Andrew, You are so funny…… roller Coastie ride!! Funny. PLEASE hang on! Love, MommyGirl Don’t forget your series, Where I Do Stuff. I’m anxiously awaiting! Sounds like a part of David Letterman’s show.

  6. This picture could actually be part of your series, entitled, “Where I Hang On.” Love, MommyGirl

  7. Andrew, Dear…..how are you in the “sea sick” department?? If that ride doesn’t ‘get’ you, you’ve nothing to worry about. I’ll bet things were flying around in the galley. Hope it didn’t last long. Like your Mom says…Hang on! Hugs
    ( GREAT picture !!!)
