New Wallpaper For You: Part 2

God's power revealed in nature
I was out today taking pictures of the waves created by the cutter’s wake. I asked myself, “What on earth could I do with a wave picture?” Then I answered myself, “Why, make more wallpaper for my friends, that’s what!” This image is perfectly sized for your desktop if you set your monitor resolution to 1024 x 768. Just click on it to see it full-sized. Are you going to use it on your desktop? Why or why not?

Enjoy,
Andrew

  1. No. When I’m at my computer, I’m supposed to be working on my dissertation. I hope to counteract my stress with soothing images, like one I took this weekend of my sandals on the beach. Fury is not what I hope to feel while trying to get this done. But maybe I should feel a bit MORE fury, so I’ll mull it over for a while.

  2. Andrew, my dear son, I set it as wallpaper! Now that I know how to do it, I’m going back to the other pix to set them occasionally. I love the photo………And I love week 8 photos at Fred’s Place. They are really touching…….Great job…….. Love, MommyGirl

  3. Andrew,
After rejecting your new website template I feel bad to decline another of your generous offers…yet I must agree with my darling hubby on this one – “FURY” is not exactly the word I want impressed on my mind when I bed and when I arise.
    Great picture, though.
Can you make me one representing peace? Thankfulness? Generousity? Chocolate?

  4. Alright, so no one likes “Fury”. I understand, and it’s okay. Folks, please understand this: I don’t choose these things. The picture speaks to me and I create what’s supposed to be there. I’ll work on some other things, but I can’t guarantee that they’ll be nice or fluffy. I have to be true to the art. Not angry or anything, I just wanted you to know.
    Peace out,
    Andrew

  5. Dear Andrew, Not true about no one liking “Fury.” I love “Fury!” It says many things to me, but the most impressive is that God is still God!!! He will have his way, no matter what!! Great shot……Love, MommyGirl

  6. Mom,
I’m reading Ezekiel right now, and that very characteristic of God’s nature emerges time and again. I, too, thought it was appropriate that this this part of HIS nature should be reflected in His creation, and I hope I shared that well.
    Love you,
    Andrew

  7. I should reiterate the fact that I think it’s a great shot. Specifically, I like how you didn’t just write the script across the pic, but instead did it inside of that rectangle. Gives it more artistic interest, and makes it more easily legible due to the dark contrast.
    Very cool.
On my desktop, I have a pic that I took in the Swiss Alps. It’s a handmade direction sign (the kind that says “Milan, 200km, Munich, 100km, etc.” with directional arrows. The sky was bright blue, and the signpost is bright yellow. Plus, there’s a little sign that says “eat at Joe’s,” which I thought was a funny thing to see in the Alps.
So, to everyone else out there, what’s on YOUR desktop?

  8. To All of you, JRS and AJS – my desktop features a picture of Lauren Marie in the plum tree outside in the front yard. Taken with my new digital camera – (6 months now). It feature God’s creation (the tree) Man’s creation (the steps that Papa put in the tree for all of you to climb) and God’s gift to aging grandparents – a delightful little girl in a pair of dirty jeans, a rumpled purple (her favorite color) tee shirt and uncombed hair and smile to end all smiles which says “I love you Papa for putting this all together just for me”. I’ll never tell her that all of you have climbed that tree!!!

p.s. I love the “fury” picture but I prefer the smile of Lauren for my desktop.
